Performance
Partnerships:
Defining System and Center Measures for High-Performance
Each of the mandated
One-Stop System Partners has program performance standards which
must be met. States and local areas must define success for the
One-Stop System and its Centers. In this session, you will learn:
why measures are important and what you may choose to measure; how
to cross-walk partner program measures to achieve a common purpose
and share success; and methods to introduce new measures, manage
achievement, and continuously improve.

Making
Monitoring Matter:
Becoming a Continuous Improvement Consultant
Contract monitors
and state staff are expected to be more than just compliance cops
in the new Workforce Investment System: they must coach for success
and consult for continuous improvement. This session: looks at these
new roles; suggests when (and how) to play each role effectively;
determines what should be done before and after each "monitoring
visit;" discusses how to make improvement recommendations that
actually get listened to and implemented; and shows how to turn
the negative perception of monitoring into a value-added system
service.
